Windsor officials gathered Saturday morning to officially kick off the 250th an niversary celebration weekend. Mayor Jim Hoggard welcomed those in at tendance as the town started three days of celebration for its ses- tercentennial. “Thank you so much In this edition for coming. On behalf of the commissioners and myself, I’d like to welcome you all to Windsor,” Mayor Hog gard said. “We are here to celebrate our 250th anniversary. Very few communities in the United States can do that. The Town of Wind sor celebrated its 250th Anniversary this past Veteran’s Day weekend, paying trib ute to the town’s rich heritage and tribute to the local veterans. “The weekend went over well. The muse ums had heavy traffic. The vendors had good visitation. We had a wonderful parade. 1 think it was a huge success given. there were no bands and the weather,” said event co-chairman Billy Smithwick. The three-day event kicked off with an opening ceremony Saturday morning in the parking lot behind Windsor Town Hall.
